105 mm IFG HE ammunition is filled with high explosives (TNT Grade1E) by pour filling method.Ammunition is fitted with Fuze 117 MK 20. On hitting the target, the Fuze functions & ultimately denotes the explosive charge.It can be fired at all angles of elevation.To adjust the range, different types of charges such as normal charge & super charge are used.The stability of the ammunition is achieved by the spin.
IFG HE ammunition is one of the six different types of projectiles fired from the 105 mm Indian field gun.This ammunition is employed to demolish army concentrations, fortifications, bunkers and many other defence installations. Suitable for use both in the plains as well as mountains.
